Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to dispatch an original painting?+
If the work is in stock, we typically dispatch within two working days within Rwanda. Delivery to the buyer usually takes 7–10 days, depending on destination. Actual transit time can be shorter or longer based on location and customs—we continuously seek safer, faster options and will communicate timelines when you order.
How long does it take to dispatch limited edition prints?+
When prints are in stock, they usually ship within 24–48 hours. If a title is not in stock, we place the order with SAWA’s printer within 24 hours; production at the printer typically adds about five working days before the print returns to SAWA for signing, numbering, and onward shipping. Please allow for this when ordering. Including freight, expect roughly 15 working days for in-stock paths and up to 24 working days for exceptional or special orders.
How long does shipping take?+
DHL international delivery generally takes
5–10 working days, depending on your location—indicative times: USA ~10 days, Europe ~7 days, Canada ~8 days, Asia ~8 days. For a precise estimate to your address, email
studioofafricanwildlifeart@gmail.com.
How do you package paintings and prints?+
Original paintings and prints are normally sent
rolled in a protective tube. If you prefer work
framed, additional charges apply because of weight and crate size. Email
studioofafricanwildlifeart@gmail.com for a quote from our shipping partners.
Is there a handling fee?+
Handling and professional packaging are included in the quoted shipping price—they are not billed separately.
Will my package be insured?+
Yes. Insurance is included in the price of paintings and prints. In the rare event of loss or damage in transit, we work with you on a refund or replacement, subject to the carrier’s terms and documentation.
Will I have to pay taxes or duties?+
Import taxes and duties vary by country—some charge them, others do not. We recommend contacting your national customs and excise authority for rules that apply to art imports before you order.
To which countries can you ship?+
We ship worldwide using DHL. If DHL delivers to your country, we can ship your order there. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us and we’ll confirm availability for your location.
